The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has issued Notification No. 134-BOPEE of 2026 dated 05 August 2026, inviting fresh applications from eligible candidates for admission to M.Sc. Nursing Courses (Stray Round) 2026 in private nursing colleges/institutions across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The notification has been issued to fill vacant seats remaining after the completion of previous counselling rounds.
Important Dates
Application Starts: 06 August 2026 (11:30 AM onwards)
Last Date to Apply: 10 August 2026 (up to 4:00 PM)
Candidates are advised to submit their application forms and preferences before the deadline.
Counselling Fee
Candidates who have not registered earlier must submit their application physically at the JKBOPEE Office (Jammu or Srinagar) and pay a counselling fee of ₹1,000 through the POS machine available at the office using a debit or credit card.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with at least 55% aggregate marks.
The nursing qualification must be from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN & RM) or equivalent with a State/UT Nursing Registration Council.
Must possess one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing or before/after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Must be medically fit.
Documents Required
Candidates should attach the following documents:
Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K
B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing final year or semester marks card
State/UT Nursing Registration Certificate
One-year work experience certificate
Any additional documents, if required by JKBOPEE.
Important Instructions
All remaining seats in this stray round will be treated as Open Merit seats.
Candidates who have already joined or are holding a seat in previous counselling rounds are not eligible to participate.
Submission of the application form does not guarantee admission.
Admission remains subject to verification of eligibility and original documents by the concerned institution.
Selection Process
Seat allotment will be carried out as follows:
Based on the merit obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) for M.Sc. Nursing 2026.
If seats remain vacant, allotment will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
In case of a tie, JKBOPEE will apply the tie-breaking criteria mentioned in the official Information Brochure.
